“I Know You Want It” is Drea Dominique (Bad Girls Club Season 9) and Safaree (Love & Hip Hop Hollywood)’s new track that comes with an official video. “I Know You Want It,” produced by Travis Kr8ts (K. Michelle, Dem Franchize Boyz), delivers a classic message with a contemporary twist: “If you really want it, you gotta show me.” She stresses the importance of time, how hard a man needs to work to prove himself, and how there could be trouble if a man does not put in the work.
The way she had meticulously selected her team when composing the song is like what she did with the video. Besides his experience behind the camera, Marcus Paulk has also appeared on the UPN series ‘Moesha’ in the role of Myles Mitchell. In the video, Paulk serves as a director storyteller who creates an exceptional display of Drea’s lyrics. Paulk executes the vision flawlessly, with vivid scenes and stunning imagery.
In the video, they walk the viewer towards the rooftop, stopping along the way at multiple neon-lit passageways (including one where the lioness-human is on a leash with Drea leading), and concluding with them on a rooftop overlooking the city skyline. Both artists honor their heritage on this rooftop, as one dancer waves the Puerto Rican Flag (for Drea Dominique’s mixed Black and Puerto Rican heritage) and the other a Jamaican flag (for Safaree’s Jamaican heritage). Here, the delivery of Safaree’s verse is impeccable. The last scene of the song is a rooftop with an empty sky as Drea delivers her last verse and curls up to him by the fireside. The music video for “I Know You Want It” is certain to be a summer hit by this talented singer.
