Ellen Alexander’s all stage names are variations of her name. In order to make it easier for people to pronounce her real name, she chose her middle name “Alexandrovna” and changed it slightly to Alexander
She has been singing in church choirs since she was very young, back in Moscow. While she was writing poetry, singing, and dancing, as well as doing ballet, she had an idea of singing in the back of her mind. Kids in the Soviet Union would attend these creative classes after school, as a form of entertainment. She was trying all these different things and disciplines before she realized that she could make this her career
Although she can’t credit anybody specifically, because she simply prefers the music that she likes, she can bring up Alon Walker or Kygo as influences, for instance.
Based on several types of DJs, she developed the concept for my current project. While Alon Walker and Kygo definitely inspire her, she also has a rap song planned inspired by cardi b. Her work has many directions and she loves experimenting with different styles and techniques.
