Trae Tha Truth and his hip hop activist compadre Mysonne teamed up in February to release If You’re Scared Stay Inside, a 14-track release that features features from artists including Jim Jones, Jay’ton, Black Thought, Pastor Stephen A. Green, TJ Boyce, and more. In addition to promoting the project and other community-based efforts, Trae and Myson appeared on REVOLT’s “Drink Champs,” in which they discussed their long-running movement Assholes By Nature:
Houston legend Trae Tha Truth released his 54th mixtape over the weekend, the latest addition to the widely acclaimed 48 Hours series. The first 48 Hours mixtape was released a decade ago. Produced by Moxiii Double Dee, 20K The Producer, and many others, the project sees some contributions from Lil’ Keke, Baby Houston, Jared, Big Pokey, and late hip hop icon DJ Screw, opening cut “Screw Tha World” features a posthumous appearance.
Trae has stayed a true leader for marginalized people by providing opportunities for business and resources for those in need. The news recently broke that he would be teaming up with James Harden to provide scholarship opportunities for individuals who need financial assistance to attend college. As a Black Lives Matter activist, he’s also stood up in protests.
