It’s challenging to determine who truly supports you and who is just there to take advantage of the hard work you’ve put in. Rapper Driew, who hails from Long Beach, has dealt with this notion for most of his life. He experienced fake love during the ensuing years, after gaining notoriety for being an integral part of the Jerkin’ Era. Mozzy, the Sacramento rapper, adds to this experience when turning it into their new video “Love Me 4 Me.”
A poignant record centered on the notion that Driew and Mozzy should reflect on who’s there for them, “Love Me 4 Me” adheres to that notion. The songs Driew writes cover topics such as betrayal, loyalty, pain, and happiness, while showcasing his innate talent for melodies. Driew matches Mozzy’s energy to make sure his performance doesn’t go unnoticed in the sea of big features. With its gloomy filter, Zimmer’s video perfectly reflects the nature of the song’s message.
Now that this single is making waves, there will hopefully be an EP or full-length release soon. You can watch Driew’s video until then.
