Release of the EP ‘Music For the Movement Vol. 3 Liberated’ from Chloe Bailey, Yara Shahidi, Cordae, and more. We are all looking forward to President Joe Biden signing the Juneteenth law into law, which is a good initial step in the right direction. As the saying goes, better late than never, but some would argue that the day should have been declared a national holiday many years ago.
In honor of holiday festivities, Chloe Bailey, Yara Shahidi, Cordae, and others have all come together to release Music For the Movement Vol. 3 Liberated EP.
Embracing Black authenticity in its entirety is the focus of Music for the Movement Vol 3 Liberated. This book stresses that Black America must become the author of its own story and adopt an unabashed black pride. In Volume 3, the emphasis shifts to celebrating what makes the Black community so unique, original and resiliant rather than dwelling on the trauma endured long ago. The event also celebrates the accomplishments of Black culture, style, beauty, and creativity as well as success as individuals and as a people.
In one of the most impressive acts of generosity in recent memory, rapper Cordae has agreed to donate all of the proceeds of this EP to HBCU scholarship funds. Several other organizations will also match his donation, including Disney Dreamers Academy and ESPN’s The Undefeated.
