New London, Connecticut, artist Brian Jai has to be one of the most talented artists. July 16th, he returned with another single, one of his best to date: “Waiting”. It is Jai’s pen game as well as Erick “E.L.” Morton’s (previously of Divine Mill Records) that really stands out on this track, as Brian tries to tell a very important woman that what they’re doing is entirely worth waiting for.
Troy Oliver composed and produced this song with help from Brian Johnson and Morton. On this record, Brian Jai demonstrates a very effective mix of R&B and Pop: creating a heartfelt, nostalgic track that somehow feels brand new. Consistency is one of the factors that make Brian Jai worth watching.
