Assisting coaches in fully immersing themselves in the game is what Serena Williams aims to do.
Teaming up with Cloud9 Esports, the tennis legend and entrepreneur offers the Coaches’ Training Grounds Champion’s Mindset course. It aims to support the company’s recent collaboration with after-school Esports programs for high school students.
Coaching Sites will produce the next generation of esports athletes, an industry that Goldman Sachs estimates will expand by $3 billion by 2022. Training Grounds is a competitive gaming program for middle and high schools that emphasizes cooperation, critical thinking, and sportsmanship in competitive gaming.
During the new Training Grounds Champion’s Mindset course, Serena Williams will individually outline the techniques and mental modifications that helped her become one of the greatest athletes of all time.
According to an official press published by Afrotech, Williams said, “Dedication, effort, practice, and devotion are extremely vital when you’re striving to become the finest and make your goals come true, whether it’s in sport or anything else.”
“Training Grounds program is to assist students everywhere to develop these abilities, and I’m delighted to work with them as a Cloud9 adviser.”
Including detailed advice for coaching with a Champion’s Mindset, the course is to be offered free on the Cloud9 website for school coaches, parents, and educators to utilize as a foundation for young development.
According to Samir Bolar, Executive Director of Training Grounds, in a press release, “We’re ecstatic to be partnering with Serena Williams, perhaps the greatest tennis champion of all time, to educate our coaches in the most acceptable ways to motivate and develop aspiring young athletes.
Introducing Training Grounds into schools will be a crucial coaching tool in developing young gamers who are goal-oriented, healthy, and resilient, in line with Serena’s Champion’s Mindset course.
