Macklemore released BEN, his third solo album, on Friday (March 3). The album features 15 songs and contributions from Phantogram’s Sarah Barthel, NLE Choppa, Morray, DJ Premier, and more. There were four singles that were included on the project: “MANIAC,” “HEROES,” “CHANT,” and “FAITHFUL.”
Macklemore’s new album comes on the heels of the release of a music video for one of the album’s standout tracks called “NO BAD DAYS,” produced by Budo and featuring Collett, the track, as heard in the chorus, centers on embracing one’s journey and remaining positive throughout its highs and lows despite their ups and downs.
Macklemore and his daughter, Sloane Haggerty, created the accompanying clip for the song “NO BAD DAYS” in collaboration with Macklemore. The viewer will see that the two of them spend a day together enjoying karaoke, a hairstyling appointment, horseback riding, and many more activities along the way. A Seattle Kraken game is visited by the two at the end of the show, and the packed crowds get a chance to participate in the fun.
‘BEN‘ is the follow-up to 2017’s GEMINI, which was comprised of 16 tracks which featured numerous contributions from an array of artists including Offset, Lil Yachty, Kesha, Skylar Grey, and Dan Caplen. Upon releasing the album, Macklemore topped the Billboard 200 charts in both the US and the UK and earned it a gold certification.
