World-famous musician Drake has finally put an end to the suspense that has been building among his fans and followers. He has officially unveiled the release date of his much-anticipated album, “For All The Dogs”. The countdown to the grand release has begun and the entire music fraternity is buzzing with excitement.
On Wednesday evening (Sept. 6), Drake took to Instagram to announce the release date of his eighth studio album. The 36-year-old superstar posted a video of his father, Dennis Graham, performing in Toronto in 1991 with the caption “FOR ALL THE DOGS SEPTEMBER 22″1. This album has been a subject of consistent speculation over the past few months, with fans and publications eagerly awaiting its release.
The Instagram post not only served as a platform for Drake’s big announcement but also as an opportunity for his father, Dennis Graham, to express his gratitude. He commented on the post, sharing his memories from the 1991 performance featured in the video and thanking Drake for including him in the album’s rollout.
“Awwwwwwww thank you Son 1991 Toronto Canada, seems like a hundred years ago, For All the Dogs.”
Dennis Graham, a 68-year-old musician himself, was so moved by the gesture that he posted his own message, lauding his son’s upcoming album as the best music he has ever heard from him.
The Initial Teaser
The buzz around Drake’s new album started back in June when he released his poetry book “Titles Ruin Everything, A Stream Of Consciousness”. A QR code associated with the book’s newspaper advertisements revealed a message that hinted at the making of a new album.
QR Code Message: “I made an album to go with the book… They say they miss the old Drake girl don’t tempt me…FOR ALL THE DOGS.”
During his “It’s All A Blur Tour” with 21 Savage, Drake opened up about “For All The Dogs”. He addressed fans’ longing for his old self and interpreted it as their desire to feel secure with their current partners, flex on their old flames, and “get fly, get drunk, show love to your family, show love to your friends.”
There seems to be a pattern in the release of Drake’s projects. His second mixtape “Comeback Season” was released in September 2007, followed by a shortened version of his breakthrough mixtape “So Far Gone” in September 2009. Then came 2013’s “Nothing Was The Same” and 2015’s joint mixtape “What A Time To Be Alive” with Future. His most recent September release was 2021’s “Certified Lover Boy” and now he will add “For All The Dogs” to this list.
Drake’s fanbase and the entire music world are eagerly looking forward to September 22, the scheduled release date of “For All The Dogs”. Based on Drake’s father’s endorsement, this album promises to be some of the best music from the superstar. So, mark your calendars and get ready to experience Drake’s new masterpiece.
