In this one-on-one conversation on “REVOLT BLACK NEWS,” host Eboni K. Williams interviews Haitian-American politician Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick — a candidate who’s running for a seat in the United States House of Representatives — about the recent devastating 7.2 earthquake in Haiti, its disastrous death toll that’s continuing to rise by the day, and what resources viewers must know in order to lend a hand to the country’s countless survivors. The current death toll is over 2,100 with 12,200 people injured. These numbers are expected to increase as rescue missions proceed. Presented by State Farm.
Inspired by Sean “Diddy” Combs’ successful “State Of Emergency: The State of Black America & Coronavirus” town hall, “REVOLT BLACK NEWS” is a platform that is designed to report news from the perspective of Black people for Black people.
“When I started REVOLT, I always wanted to develop a platform to report the news from our perspective, from our lens, from our people, so I decided to launch ‘REVOLT BLACK NEWS.’” said Combs. “We’re here with solutions. We’ve already heard about what we can’t do, but this is what we can do.”
