Jennifer Hough, the accuser in Kenneth Petty’s 1994 rape case, was recently seen enhancing her lawsuit with more evidence while concurrently excluding the famous rapper, Nicki Minaj from the defendant list.
As per the information revealed through a tweet by Meghann Cuniff, a respected legal reporter, the modifications to the complaint were filed last Saturday by Hough.
The revamped complaint now includes previously unseen evidence from the original case. This comprises numerous old photographs of the incident, provided by the Queens District Attorney‘s Office.
“In her battle for justice, Jennifer Hough has left no stone unturned. The revised complaint, replete with previously unseen evidence, is a testament to her indomitable spirit,” says a legal expert.
Interestingly, in the revised complaint, Nicki Minaj, Kenneth Petty’s wife, is no longer listed as a defendant. However, her name does appear several times within the documents.
Hough first expressed her intention to amend her lawsuit back in August. She revealed that she had been living under the dark cloud of intimidation, harassment, and threats from Petty. This began when she declined an offer of money to retract her allegations, which would have facilitated Petty’s removal from the National Sex Offender Registry.
For the uninitiated, Kenneth Petty pleaded guilty and was convicted of attempted rape in 1995. This was in relation to the incident involving Hough, and Petty subsequently served four years in a New York prison.
The news of the revised complaint comes on the heels of Petty being sentenced to 120 days of house arrest by a California court. This was due to a violation of his probation terms, where he, along with two other men, were found guilty of threatening Offset.
“Mr. Petty was caught on video making threatening remarks towards a specific individual while in the company of someone with a criminal record. This recent violation conduct raises concerns over Mr. Petty’s willingness to comply with the Court’s orders,” read the order signed by Judge Michael W. Fitzgerald.
The saga of Kenneth Petty and his accuser, Jennifer Hough, continues to unfold. With the latest amendments to the complaint and the inclusion of new evidence from the original case, there are sure to be more developments in the future.
While Nicki Minaj is no longer directly involved as a defendant, her connection to the case remains undeniable. This case continues to send ripples through the music news industry and will undoubtedly have far-reaching effects.
