IRL, Mahalia upcoming album, was officially announced yesterday (May 1) in celebration of her 25th birthday, in which she announced her forthcoming album will be released soonAside from the news, it was also announced that a brand new live performance of “Terms & Conditions,” the project’s lead single, would be released along with the announcement of its release. This talented British band stood by the British singer as she effortlessly delivered her lyrics about setting high standards when it comes to dating, all with the backing of her band. With the support of her band, she achieved the following:
“This song almost feels like a love letter from me to myself, but it is also a warning for others that might be listening to it,” Mahalia said in a press release regarding the song. “What it really comes down to is setting boundaries and deciding what things my values no longer allow me to compromise on.”
A few days ago, the “Sober” singer took to Twitter to give more context about the new video in particular. Although she did not feel her best physically, she was still able to put on a show despite not feeling at her best. “ I think that this is amongst my favorite performances that I have done over the years, even though I have a stuffy nose.
The most recent EP from Mahalia, titled Letter To Ur Ex, was released way back in October 2022. There were just five tracks in the project and they told a love story from different perspectives to tell a short and sweet story of love. In addition to that, she released her sophomore LP in 2019 titled LOVE AND COMPROMISE, composed of 13 tracks, as well as additional features from the likes of Lucky Daye, Burna Boy, Hamzaa, Terrace Martin, and Ella Mai. Earlier this year, she released her Isolation Tapes, a collection of three previously unreleased tracks which were available to listen to in advance.
