There are a lot of music fans who are getting excited for the upcoming release of IDK’s F65 which will have guest appearances from Benny The Butcher, Fat Trel, Snoop Dogg, Rich The Kid, NLE Choppa, and more. There was a brand new visual released on Thursday (April 20) for the DMV star’s latest album, “Mr.Police” It is evident from the title of the song that it addresses the issue of police brutality in the United States – a topic which IDK produced alongside Jim Lang.
It is a clip directed by Anthony Sylvester that consists of footage taken from police cameras showing IDK and his crew being pulled over by police officers at different times during his career. As the traffic stops intensify, they become more aggressive and violent to the point where one encounter escalated to physical harm. As the video reaches its closing moments, a message appears that provides additional insight into the general concept of the video.
“There were fictionalized scenes portrayed by professional actors and actresses in this video. These scenes were dramatized and fictionalized in order to portray police brutality and mistreatment in America,” described the message in the video. “Our aim is to raise awareness around police misconduct in order to initiate a dialogue and to perhaps change the narrative around the nature of law enforcement misconduct in the future. There are some police officers who are not bad at all. This is to shed light on those that already exist.”
