Shenseea official comeback was marked by the release of her new song, “Curious,” which was produced by London, Dunw3ll, BEAM, and Fred Ball exclusively for da Track. As part of the song, the Jamaican talent finds herself in love with a woman while attending a function, and questions her sexuality as a result.
As part of the accompanying visuals for “Curious”, we see a woman standing in the middle of a desert tending to her vehicle. There appears a magical door, and when the woman enters, she is met by a team of vibrant dancers who are dancing in an equally vibrant setting, led by Shenseea and her crew. A viewer can also see a sultry “Foreplay” artist being slathered in honey in other scenes of the video.
There was a lot of excitement back in March of 2022 when Shenseea released ALPHA, her debut album, featuring 14 songs and additional features from Beenie Man, Tyga, Megan Thee Stallion, 21 Savage, Offset, and Sean Paul. The album reached number two on Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart and number three on Billboard’s Heatseekers Albums chart as of December 2010. Over the years, she has appeared on numerous tracks including “Obsessed” by Charlie Puth and Calvin Harris, “Rain” by Skillibeng, “It’s True” by Skeng, “Diana” by Chris Brown and Fireboy DML, and “Slip N Slide” by Wizkid. I can only hope that someday soon, a sophomore album from the band will be released and we will be able to take a closer look at it.
