This “REVOLT BLACK NEWS” roundtable will breakdown the conflict in Ethiopia between the federal government and the Tigray People’s Liberation Front and ask, “Is ethnic violence crippling the country? If so, how?” As vast sides allege different atrocities, this panel will give their respective opinions on the fighting that’s ensued over the past 11 months.
The war between the two entities has already put millions of lives at risk due to famine-like conditions. Over 900,000 people have faced these harsh circumstances and serious food insecurity is affecting another 6 million to 7 millions citizens. Biden has since created U.S. sanctions on Ethiopian leaders if they don’t get their country’s conflict under control.
Inspired by Sean “Diddy” Combs’ successful “State Of Emergency: The State of Black America & Coronavirus” town hall, “REVOLT BLACK NEWS” is a platform that is designed to report news from the perspective of Black people for Black people.
“When I started REVOLT, I always wanted to develop a platform to report the news from our perspective, from our lens, from our people, so I decided to launch ‘REVOLT BLACK NEWS.’” said Combs. “We’re here with solutions. We’ve already heard about what we can’t do, but this is what we can do.”
