Earlier this year, Megan Thee Stallion released a highly anticipated single titled, “Plan B.” The song was originally conceived several months ago, but was finally premiered at Coachella 2022 in front of a sea of people who immediately took notice due to its unapologetic lyrics.
Megan returned to share the video today (June 2), marking the release of the song’s official music video. Despite a black background and a few sexy outfit changes, the new clip uses the Stallion as the focus with only a black background and Thee Stallion front and center. While evoking a sense of confidence over an old school 90s style beat, Megan delivers fiery bars directed at her exes and hate-filled people, and an entrancing sample of Jodeci’s “Freek’n You” woven throughout:
It was confirmed by Megan upon the record’s release that it was for women. The women start clapping and jumping every time she plays the song I recorded for them,” she tweeted for her fans.
Her upcoming sophomore studio album features “Plan B” as its second single. Aside from that, the 27-year-old rapper was previously awarded the Trailblazer Award at the 2022 iHeartRadio Music Awards and has also been recently awarded the keys to her hometown of Houston, Texas.
