5th October 2022 — March saw the release of Denzel Curry’s most recent and iconic album. The album comprised 14 tracks and had guest appearances from artists like T-Pain, 6lack, Rico Nasty, J.I.D., and many more.
The Florida sensation has returned with the official deluxe upgrade, which has many tunes that were re-recorded in collaboration with the Cold Blooded Soul Band. Fans may now take advantage of the newly increased total of 24 tracks and enjoy extra cuts such as “Chrome Hearts” and “Larger Than Life.” Curry raps in the later song about his impoverished beginnings.
Before releasing Melt My Eyez, See Your Future, Curry’s most recent piece of work was the album Unlocked, which was released in 2020 and was a collaboration with Kenny Beats. The pair improved upon the effort by releasing Unlocked 1.5 a month after its initial release.
This revised version features guest appearances from various musicians, such as Smino, Robert Glasper, Arlo Parks, and Benny The Butcher, amongst many other famous names.
In a recent interview, the rapper known for his hit song “Walkin” discussed the song “Melt Session #1,” which serves as the beginning of the Melt My Eyez, See Your Future project. He called it the “most vulnerable” piece on the album.
Curry stated, “I couldn’t perform the tune for a few months.” Even when I had finished making it, I didn’t want to perform it in front of anyone. It was one of few moments where you would think of yourself, “Damn, this is me exposed.” I’m aware of who I am and all that I’m capable of, and it’s a damn shame that I have to witness it all.
