It is anticipated that this Friday (Dec. 9) will bring to life SZA’s highly anticipated sophomore effort, the S.O.S. album. Earlier yesterday (Dec. 5), the star of Top Dawg Entertainment revealed the official tracklist of the album, confirming that the record will feature Travis Scott, Don Toliver, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and Phoebe Bridgers. There will be 23 songs included in the project, and it will house previously released singles such as “Good Days” and “I Hate U.”
After announcing her upcoming album, the singer of “All The Stars” revealed a snippet of her forthcoming romantic ballad “Nobody Gets Me,” which can be found midway through the tracklist of her upcoming album All The Stars. The song is characterized by an acoustic instrumental that is accompanied by the vocals of SZA who are the main attraction. In her lyrics, she sings about the only person in the entire world who is able to fully accept her for who she truly is in her heart:
With S.O.S., SZA follows up her 2017 debut, Ctrl, a 14-song album that featured contributions from Isaiah Rashad, Travis Scott, James Fauntleroy, Kendrick Lamar, Justin Timberlake, and a whole lot more. This is because of the fact that the record made its debut at No. 3 on the Billboard 200, Ctrl has been certified triple platinum.
It was only last month that the singer-songwriter, who was raised in New Jersey, gave a candid interview about the pressures involved in creating an album. “There is no telling what I could do if I burst into tears right now or start running through this wall at any given moment. “I’m effectively falling apart right now,” she said, as she spoke. “But it isn’t like, you know, the pressure of the album. It’s just that life is so damn hard these days. Assuming that you are going to be able to achieve anything at a high level while you are living your life at the same time is simply insane. I don’t think this is meant for one person in particular. It’s designed specifically for a machine.”
