This weekend, Juicy J released his first solo project since 2020’s The Hustle Continues, which wasn’t a surprise. In a new single entitled Mental Trillness, Juicy J boasts a number of features, including La Chat, Aleza, Gangsta Boo, and more, despite the fact that production has been handled by the likes of Crazy Mike, Hitkidd, Gilbere Forte, and Juicy J himself. In conjunction with the release of the song, he also released the official video to his single “Going Through Sum Sh..,” where he lays down some bars about rolling with the punches life throws at him:
“Mental Trillness is a collection of songs intended to help people who suffer from drug abuse, relationship problems, depression, frustration, confusion, and much more,” the Memphis-born legend Juicy J said in a press release. “Hopefully, it will assist you in your healing process.”
Before this, he had been in a collaborative mood for the entire year of 2022 and was known for his song “Bandz A Make Her Dance”. In the midst of all this, he has dropped three separate joint projects: most recently, Crypto Business with Trap-A-Holics and Lex Luger, Space Age Pimpin featuring Pi’erre Bourne and Stoner’s Night featuring Wiz Khalifa. Furthermore, he has appeared on a number of other tracks, including “Not Today” by Snow Tha Product, “Yerba” by Marco Nobel, and more.
