Earlier this year, DaBaby dropped the singles “WIG” and “BONNET” featuring Moneybagg Yo and Pooh Shiesty, which fueled speculation that the rapper was planning a new album. The upcoming Saturday (June 24) will see him release “SHOWING HER BODY OFF,” featuring Davido and produced by Arieenati, Shizzi, and Uzoharbor. DaBaby’s first official entry into the afrobeats sound was a song about his experiences with women, complete with rhymes about his experiences with them:
After two years of prepping, DaBaby has finally released his third studio album, BLAME IT ON BABY, which initially consisted of 13 tracks and featured Future, Quavo, Roddy Ricch, Ashanti, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, JetsonMade, London On Da Track, and Megan Thee Stallion. Approximately 124,000 units were sold in the first week of the album, which earned DaBaby his second No. 1 on the Billboard 200. As well as crossing the Platinum threshold, BLAME IT ON BABY also received a special deluxe edition that included 11 additional tracks. As a follow up to the release of his first album, DaBaby continued to make a name for himself with EPs like My Brother’s Keeper, dedicated to his late brother Glenn Johnson, Better Than You with YoungBoy as well as Back on My Baby Jesus Sh!t Again.
