In his freestyle “From The Block”, Jim Jones conveys a message

It’s just a matter of time before Jim Jones releases a new freestyle he recorded for 4 Shooters Only to promote the “From The Block” performance series. Several people have speculated that Harlem rapper T.I. is not only referring to his Richmond counterpart in his verses, but also to his offspring in his first studio album.

The summer is beginning to look like one that will be hot and dry. An exclusive Clipse track was unveiled during Pharrell Williams’ first-ever runway event with Louis Vuitton earlier this month, where the track was one of the showcases. It wasn’t a coincidence that listeners of that song claimed they heard a diss towards Jim Jones, who said he didn’t consider Pusha T to be one of the 50 greatest emcees of all time on “The Breakfast Club.”

A year that brought a lot of success for Jim Jones and Pusha, starting with Jones’ Gangsta Grillz: We Set the Trends mixtape that he released alongside DJ Drama at the beginning of 2022. A few months after that release, Pusha released his fourth studio album, It’s Almost Dry, which went on to peak at number one on the Billboard 200 chart a few months later. Having worked with Hitmaka and Maino on the well-received projects The Lobby Boyz and Back In My Prime, respectively, Jones was able to create a number of albums during his career.
