In a remix released on Monday (May 22), Nino Man and Dave East have brought their talents together in order to produce a remix of Lil Uzi Vert 2022’s most popular song, “Just Wanna Rock.” Dubbed “I Wanna Rocc (EASTMIX),” the Harlem duo keeps things street-oriented with the Jersey Club production provided by Synthetic and MCVertt.
As well as the track itself, Dave East and Nino have provided a matching visual, which was created by Benji Filmz. This short video shows the artists catching vibes with their crew at the popular Light Box Garage, the same location which Jhené Aiko, Logic, and Tinashe have previously used.
It was released back in April that Dave East released the deluxe edition of his 2022 release Book of David, as part of a collaboration with Buda, DJ Drama, and Grandz. As part of the well-received album, there were 26 songs as well as contributions from Styles P, Millyz, Berner, B-Real, Derrick Milano, as well as the late Kiing Shooter. In the few months leading up to the release of The Book of David, fans enjoyed an equally impressive film called HDIGH? (or How Did I Get Here?). The project included contributions from Method Man, Musiq Soulchild, Anthony Hamilton, Trae Tha Truth, and more.
