With the new visual, West continues the momentum of the project. The video features a variety of childhood pictures of Ye in an animated state. Although Kanye’s second verse on the song is the track’s first verse in the original track, the newly released visuals pull listeners in with the opening verse from Andre 3000:
A platinum certificate was officially granted to Donda’s tenth solo LP by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on March 31. In August 2021, Kanye West passed the million equivalent album sales mark nearly six months after the album was released for the first time. On August 29, 2021, Donda was released after three exciting listening sessions. A 27-track offering that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart earned 309,000 album equivalent units its first week. As Ye’s ninth consecutive project to hit the top spot during its first week, this is another milestone.
