During the month of October of 2022, Key Glock released PRE5L, a five-song EP without features and with production handled by some of the most talented producers in the music industry, including Tay Keith, Blazerfxme, JohnnyTurnItUp, and BandPlay. On Wednesday (Jan. 9) night, the Memphis-born emcee returned with the latest release from PRE5L, an official music video showcasing the man behind the project, “Spike Lee.” The video is directed by Nick Mays, and it runs entirely off of some of the legendary filmmaker’s iconic movie scenes, with Glock paying homage to his work as he raps:
The last release from Key Glock is Yellow Tape 2, which was released back in November, featuring 20 tracks that are hard-hitting and have no features whatsoever. A few months ago, Key Glock returned to the studio and released the official deluxe version. In this, he upgraded the already successful body of work with 10 brand new tracks that we had never heard of before. During the past few years, the Paper Route Empire artist has showcased his songs through the use of music videos, including “Pain Killers,” “Grammys,” “No Choice,” and “Something Bout.”
A short while ago, the rapper who is best known for his hit single, “Ambition For Cash,” announced his upcoming “Glockoma Tour.” In partnership with SiriusXM’s Hip-Hop Nation, the 31-date run has already begun in Atlanta at Coca-Cola Roxy and will make stops across the country, including Los Angeles, Dallas, Detroit, Chicago, as well as other cities before wrapping up in Nashville, TN in April.
