At the moment, Khalid is writing and recording his long-awaited third LP Everything Is Changing, which he revealed back in 2020 during a Twitter chat with fans:

In the early months of last year, Khalid appeared to be launching his new album campaign with songs such as “Working” featuring Tate McRae, “New Normal,” “Present,” and “Last Call.” He did deliver a kind of appetizer when he dropped Scenic Drive in December alongside Kiana Ledé, 6LACK, Alicia Keys, JID, Lucky Daye, Ari Lennox, and many others, he also worked with Mariah Carey and Kirk Franklin on their holiday album “Fall in Love at Christmas,” released alongside Carey’s Apple TV+ special Christmas: The Magic Continues.
With the arrival of May, Khalid dropped a brand new song titled “Skyline,” another pop-like song that features Chrome Sparks’ production and tells the story of Khalid and his love in the midst of an intimate day together:
Levi Turner and Cody LaPlant have delivered a matching visual for Khalid’s “Skyline,” which appears to display him and his friends enjoying a dreamlike getaway at the end of a lonely road. Besides Khalid’s appearance on Skyline, viewers also get to see him and the rest of the crew taking part in a picnic, riding bikes, and performing synchronized dance moves while floating in the clouds.
