The excellent news is that on Friday, April 14th, Yung Bleu is going to release his second album of the same name with the same title, Love Scars II. In accordance with his well-received EP released in 2020, Love Scars: The 5 Stages of Emotions EP. As of right now, fans have already been able to listen to the first single, “Games Women Play.” Thankfully, one day later (April 7) the Platinum-certified singer/songwriter returns with the complete follow-up, a sensual track called “Kissing On Your Tattoos.” With these words, Yung Bleu creates a sense of intimacy for the listener:
Rather than just releasing his sophomore studio album in November 2022, Bleu has opted to release his debut LP, TANTRA, consisting of 17 original songs, with additional contributions coming from Ty Dolla $ign, Kelly Rowland, ZAYN, Nicki Minaj, French Montana, Lucky Daye, Fivio Foreign, Lil Wayne, and Ne-Yo. Aside from his own releases, he has also been known to deliver some show-stealing verses on some of the most anticipated tracks, such as M Huncho “Who We Are,” Coi Leray “Aye Yai Yai,” Maroon 5 “One Light (Remix),” Ashanti “Falling For You,” Chris Brown “Possessive,” and dvsn “Last Time.”
Yung Bleu previously talked about the creative process that went into creating one of his most well-loved songs to date, the Alabama-raised hit single “Ghetto Love Birds.” “I’m just doing my thing in the studio and being creative. Honestly, there wasn’t much inspiration there,” he told me. “For each song, The song was formed as a result of a situation not really connected to a specific event that led to its creation… It is a process of using a database of feelings, emotion, and life skills in order to formulate, and curate the most appropriate music.”
