In the studio working with a hip hop icon, Saba has been creating magic since the release of his third studio LP, Few Good Things. The Chicago emcee releases a new track today titled “Back In Office,” a hard-hitting disco roller that is produced by No I.D. On the track, the Chicago emcee delivers some of his dopest bars to date, not to forget about the dope production.
“I’m Back In Office” features a matching visual which has been produced by Ian Lipton. It is possible to see Saba wearing a number of fly threads while delivering clever rhymes against different backdrops that are set within a studio setting. It is unfortunate that No I.D. hasn’t made an appearance in the video clip as far as the music is concerned.
The legendary producer reached out to Saba back in 2022 in an Apple Music interview, in which he revealed that the legendary producer approached him with the offer of collaborating, beginning with a healthy amount of beats he could work on.
“He said, ‘Your ears would hear that little beat in the background, that’s just number 80 for the week, don’t mind if I do,’” Saba said in an interview. “I got up with him when he was telling me how he had completed 120 exercises in a two-week period. The guy was like, ‘I have 120 of them, how many do you want me to send you?’ I responded by saying, ‘Bro, I’m about to go on tour, you can send me all 120.’ Now to be honest, I didn’t think he would actually do it, but he did it.”
