Earlier this month (Aug. 18), Nakkia Gold released the music video for her song “Energy.” The clip, which includes West Philly native Pink Sweat$, features the duo surrounded by neon pink and choreographed to bring the song to life. It’s produced by the Grammy Award-winning collective 1500 or Nothin’, who emphasize the importance of energy conservation:
As one of the most acclaimed singer-songwriters to emerge from South Los Angeles, Nakkia Gold is best known for her famous song, “JUSTICE (GET UP, STAND UP)” with Wiz Khalifa, Bob Marley, and The Wailers. Additionally, she released last year the “Sober” single alongside Jeremih, “Pretty Girl Habits,” a three-pack that also featured “Yea Yea,” “3 Rounds,” and “Real.”
A year ago, Pink Sweat$ launched his debut album PINK PLANET, which featured singles such as “Heaven.” He also released the video for one of the project’s most beloved tracks, “At My Worst” in collaboration with Kehlani.
