“Ready For Love” is featured in a new video by Wiz Khalifa and Girl Talk

As of April, fans could enjoy Full Court Press, a collaborative album by Smoke DZA, Big K.R.I.T., Wiz Khalifa, and Girl Talk. A few of the project’s most successful singles include “Put You On,” “How The Story Goes,” and “Ain’t No Fun,” a reworked version of one of Snoop Dogg’s classics.

A brand new visual from Khalifa and Girl Talk, “Ready for Love,” has been unveiled. Developed by Andy Koeger and shot at The Globe in downtown Los Angeles, the groovy video was directed by Andy Koeger. Together, Nile Rodgers’ guitar skills and Wiz Khalifa’s smooth flow create the smooth sound of “Ready For Love”:

“Soup For One,” a song by Chic, was flipped by Girl Talk’s Gregg Gillis. A music expert explains how and why he chose to include the sample in the song: “It was crucial because it was unique on the album, but a blend of the sample and overall energy was in sync with the other songs on the album.” It turned out that this was the only track on the project where sample clearance was a problem. The original could not be re-recorded, which made me unhappy because I was in love with the recording quality. The decision was made to contact Nile Rodgers, and he confirmed doing the replay, which I was astonished by! He did a fantastic job.”
