A joint mixtape from Skilla Baby and Tee Grizzley, Controversy, was released last Friday (April 28) that cemented their partnership and marked the beginning of their successful partnership. In an effort to keep the momentum going, the pair followed up their successful single with an official music video for their track “Striker Music” this past Sunday. A new video directed by Jerry shows the Detroit rappers Chris Brown and Tee Grizzley meeting up in a parking lot for a day of rapping surrounded by motorcycles and luxury cars, as Grizzley flexes his trademark flow while Chris Brown provides the atmosphere:
Fortunately for fans who are waiting for the main course to arrive, Controversy is just the appetizer. “I am proud of what Skilla and I have achieved for our city, and we ain’t stopping with this because we are going to keep making things like this for our city,” Tee Grizzley confirmed in a press release.
In Grizzley’s camp, we’re known for eating more than anyone else. As a result of this project, we will be able to distinguish ourselves from our competitors,” said Skilla Baby.
During October 2022, the “First Day Out” rapper wound up dropping the last of his work that year, Chapters Of The Trenches, an album with thirteen tracks that depicted three different storylines: “Ms. Evans,” “Jay & Twan,” and “Tez & Tone.” The mixtape that preceded it featured two features from Lakeyah and Baby Grizzley was released in 2021. As well as his own releases, he has been featured on a number of collaborations recently, including “Wit It” with Drego & Beno, “Uh Huh” with Hunxho, and “Pay For It” with Fredo Bang.
