Earlier this week (March 6), Dave East unveiled a new single entitled “Thiccer Than Water,” featuring NYC artist Uncle Murda. A triple-A-produced track, the rappers describe the reality of street life on the track.
The accompanying video for “Thiccer Than Water” was created by DonJai. There are several locations where viewers can catch the collaborators as they indulge in various vices around the Big Apple.
In the days leading up to the arrival of the aforementioned track, Dave East and Murda collaborated with Gorilla Nems on “NY Is Killing Me,” which references Gil Scott-Heron’s 2010 classic of the same name. Additionally, Scram Jones contributes some vivid bars to the creeping cut which should please residents of the place named after the song.
Dave East collaborated with DJ Drama and production team Buda & Grandz on the 17-song album Book of David released in November 2022. In the same year, he released the critically acclaimed collection HDIGH, which included its deluxe upgrade, which included 13 tracks and a host of guest features, including Musiq Soulchild, Method Man, Kalan.FrFr, Trae Tha Truth, Anthony Hamilton, Peedi Crakk, Benny the Butcher, and more.
