Usher Is Giving Black and Brown Kids Tools They Need To Succeed — And Helping Mothers Out – REVOLT BLACK NEWS

Music legend Usher is taking a break from his Las Vegas residency, which he surprisingly revealed will return November 2023 — as well going viral with Keke Palmer for his new “Boyfriend” music video — to head to Atlanta, Georgia for the Disruptivator Summit. The event is a gathering of teens from his nonprofit, Usher’s New Look, a program that provides Black and brown kids with tools to thrive in school and identify the right career path for them. Inspired by Sean “Diddy” Combs’ successful “State Of Emergency: The State of Black America & Coronavirus” town hall, “REVOLT BLACK NEWS” is a platform that is designed to report news from the perspective of Black people for Black people. “When I started REVOLT, I always wanted to develop a platform to report the news from our perspective, from our lens, from our people, so I decided to launch ’REVOLT BLACK NEWS,’” said Combs. “We’re here with solutions. We’ve already heard about what we can’t do, but this is what we can do.”
