The weekend of August 4th and 5th was a special weekend for Kamaiyah as she released her brand new 7-track EP, Keep It Lit. As a guest appearant, Mistah F.A.B. is one of the featured rappers on the project, which features hits such as “Playa 4 Life” and “Versace Robe.” As part of the release of the project, an accompanying video was released, and this video was titled “Honored.” Directed by WeThePartySean, the clip features the Oakland native rapping about enjoying her lifestyle and embracing it:
Despite the fact that some artists prefer to debut their most recent work as soon as possible without wasting any time, Kamaiyah has revealed that she has a habit of holding out for a while before releasing it. “There has been this video for over a year now,” she wrote in an article on Instagram referring to “Honored.” “I am a music hoarder.”
Earlier this year, Kamaiyah unveiled her Divine Timing project. This was an impressive body of work that drew praise from many fans, and contained contributions by Da Boii, Sada Baby, and Cash Kidd. As a result, the California-bred star released the deluxe edition of the album shortly afterwards, which added eight new songs to bring the total range of songs on the album to fifteen. Furthermore, she was able to reach out to several new collaborators, including Young Slo-Be, Payroll Giovanni, Lloyd, and Dej Loaf.
Apart from her own releases, “Gang Gang” rapper Beene Veltman has been featured on a number of tracks over the past year, including “Good Lookin’” with Harry Fraud and Jay Worthy, “Switch On Me” with DB.Boutabag, “My B**ch” with P-Lo, “G Way 3” with Joey Fatts, and much more.
