I Got Issues is YG’s highly anticipated album, which premieres on Sept. 30. It has already been possible to enjoy a handful of previews, including Tyga and “Scared Money” by J. Cole, “Run,” “Alone” from BIA, and Moneybagg Yo and 21 Savage, “Sign Language.” In releasing “Maniac” today (Sept. 23), the California-bred star gives us an additional taste of the upcoming album. Here are a few bars that illustrate how YG might be perceived by others:
The last album YG released was Kommunity Service last May, which was a joint project with Mozzy. Among the singles included on the project were “Perfect Timing” and “Bompton To Oak Park” with Blxst. Along with the singles, the duo dropped music videos including “Mad” produced by Young M.A and “Vibe With You” alongside Ty Dolla $ign.
In this album, YG presents his first solo release in almost two years, following the release of My Life 4Hunnid in 2020. This album featured appearances from Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Tyga, Gunna, Ty Dolla $ign, and others. According to Billboard, the album debuted at No. 4 with 64,000 album-equivalent units in its first week.
