There is no better way to get the summer started than with Dave East and Young Chris. In celebration of their new single release, the NYC-Philly duo has released a new single under the title “Naughty,” which had been inspired by the sampling of the classic song by Naughty By Nature entitled “Uptown Anthem.” With such an upbeat production, it perfectly complements East’s verse about what he has planned for the warmer weather of the year.
The accompanying video for the song “Naughty” is directed by DevKamara, and it follows East’s visit to From The Deli, East’s restaurant in Harlem, where Dave East displays a yellow Lamborghini Huracán Evo Spyder and arranges for Chris to stop by to see it, and parties the night away with a large crowd of family and friends. Vin Rock from Naughty By Nature also makes a brief appearance in the video.
The most recent body of work by Dave East was released in November of 2022, Book Of David, which was produced in collaboration with Buda & Grandz and DJ Drama. There were initially 17 songs included in the project, as well as appearances from the late Kiing Shooter, Katt Rockell, Berner, and Mama Buda. As of April of this year, the “Type Of Time” rapper released a deluxe edition of Book Of David that includes nine additional tracks and contributions from B-Real, Styles P, Millyz, and more.
