“Zatoichi” features Denzel Curry and slowthai

This coming month, Denzel Curry will release his fifth studio album See Your Future, Melt My Eyez, which will include the previously released single “Walkin.” This afternoon (Feb. 24), he offers “Zatoichi,” a Jonnywood and Powers Pleasant produced track featuring British singer slowthai and titled after a Japanese character that has been around since the 1960s:

Curry is seen in the accompanying video for “Zatoichi” training in a martial arts class in the middle of nowhere. The video was produced by Adrian Villagomez. He learns from a blind woman (African-American) who wastes no time in showing him what he needs to learn.

After See Your Future and Melt My Eyez release, its predecessor will be 2020’s Unlocked with Kenny Beats, a four-track EP that had no features. Unlocked 1.5 was the duo’s follow-up project a month after its initial release, featuring Robert Glasper, Smino, Arlo Parks, Joey BADA$$, Benny The Butcher, Kenny Mason, and more. The rapper’s last official album, Zuu, debuted in 2019. The album includes collaborations with Rick Ross, Kiddo Marv, Tay Keith, Ice Billion Berg, Sam Sneak, and PlayThatBoiZay.
