After three years, Shy Glizzy has released his third album, Young Jefe 3. This album includes guest appearances by Meek Mill, Lil Uzi Vert, G Herbo, NoCap, Ty Dolla $ign, Jeremih, and more. Shy Glizzy has since provided his fans with an introduction to the Glizzy Gang collective through the release of the album Don’t Feed The Sharks.
Earlier today (Feb. 10) the D.C. frontrunner released Flowers, a song that was created through the sweat, tears, and blood of many.
The fact that I am finally able to share this with the world makes me very happy,” he said. I have been looking forward to this event for a long time, and I anticipate it will last even longer. The experiences I have had, whether they were good or bad, have helped me develop (mentally and musically). For me, this has been the most challenging project so far owing to all the challenges I have had to face. But if there is anything I have learned as a result of this process, it is that tomorrow is not promised.”
A total of 20 songs are included in the album, along with special contributions from Chris Brown, EST Gee, 21 Savage, and YoungBoy Never Broke Again. Its opening track, “No Days Off,” can be seen as a reflection of Shy’s difficult childhood:
The debut mixtape of Shy Glizzy was released in 2011 and was soon followed by the critically acclaimed Streets Hottest Youngin, one of the most successful selling dance mixtapes of all time. As a result of the “Awesome” rapper’s hard-hitting project Law and Young Jefe, the rapper continued to raise his profile with several hard-hitting projects that helped raise his profile in the years to come. His partnership with 300 Entertainment would eventually help him launch this venture, and in 2017, he would release The World Is Yours, a number one hit album.
