Alex Vaughn and Muni Long team up for new single “IYKYK”

I am very excited to share that this Friday, March 17, rising R&B star Alex Vaughn is releasing her next EP, The Homegirl Pack. In addition to sharing the cover art and list of singles over the weekend, the LVRN signee confirmed that Summer Walker, Ari Lennox, and more are contributing to the project. Her first preview of the album, which features a Muni Long-assisted track, was released today (March 14). The track is dubbed “IYKYK.” For the first line of the track, the two work together for a great hook:

Alex Vaughn most recent project was 2022’s Hurtbook, which is an eight-track album without any features, Alex Vaughn released under the name The Hurtbook. It was earlier in that year that she teased her fans with a seven-track EP entitled Voice Notes. Aside from her solo releases, the “Do You Ever” singer can also be heard lending her vocals to other collaborations she has worked on, including “One&Only” with O-Slice, “LIVE FOR IT” with IDK featuring Wale, “The Phabo Show” with Phabo, “These Exchanges” with Matt McGhee and more.

Long in July of 2022 released a collection of songs that served as the official follow-up to her 2021 debut project, Public Displays Of Affection Too, a five-track piece of music that served as the official follow-up to her 2021 debut. In addition to previously shared tracks, the mixtape also included tracks such as “Pain,” “Another,” and “Baby Boo,” the last of which featured Saweetie getting in on the action. She also won a Grammy earlier this year for the Best R&B Performance of the Year award as a result of the success of her breakthrough single, “Hrs & Hrs.”
