A new single by SahBabii titled “How Bout U?” was released on Tuesday (Jan. 31). With the production from Vassey, the Atlanta-based star raps about the lifestyle that he and his crew have created for themselves and their crew, saying:
“How Bout U?” follows a month of SahBabii providing fans with his LeakOut project, a 12-song mixtape with Boohman Da Ghost providing a single assist for the project. According to speculation, this release was in response to a large-scale leak of music that included unauthorized drops of rappers such as Gunna, Playboi Carti, Young Nudy, 21 Savage, and more.
The last time SahBabii released an album was two years ago with his most recent LP, Do It For Demon, which featured 20 hard-hitting cuts for fans to get a taste of what has been in the pipeline for the band. This album was dedicated to the late affiliate DemonChild, who according to what SahBabii explained in one of his earlier interviews, one of the first people he bonded with after migrating south with his family, was one of the first people he found himself bonding with:
“When I first moved to Atlanta, DemonChild was one of the first people I met. On Osborne Street, I met him for the first time. As for me, I hadn’t had any friends since I just moved there and he was a person without friends. As I was staying with my uncle and his family, we included DemonChild in our family as if he were one of us… He’s really been a part of my family and my life since I was 13.”
