It was back in February when Hitmaka and Eric Bellinger collaborated on their joint album 1-800-Hit-Eazy. A total of 14 tracks were included on the album, including hits such as “Hit Eazy” and “Only You,” as well as contributions from Rahky and Chrishan. Since the album’s release, fans have been able to enjoy accompanying visuals for many tracks, such as “Hypebeast,” “Only You,” “Star Projectors,” and “Serious.”
It was announced last week that the duo will return to perform “Obsession,” the first single from 1800Hit-Eazy’s upcoming sequel. Earlier this week (October 26), they reconnected with their fans to present them with their official music video. Keoni Mars directs the cinematic video clip, which follows Bellinger as she navigates a romantic story that begins to go awry. An instrumental production by Hitmaka complements the lyrics about being fixated on a certain person in the song:
Earlier this year, Bellinger released New Light, an album that featured several well-known artists including Brandy, Teedra Moses, Kierra Sheard, The Game, Dom Kennedy, and Sevyn Streeter. His efforts on that project led to a Grammy nomination in the category of Best Progressive R&B Album late that year. Additionally, he made his television debuts on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and “The Kelly Clarkson Show.”
