Leon Thomas shares reflective single “Crash and Burn”

There has been great anticipation for Leon Thomas highly anticipated album, Electric Dusk, to be released this summer. In 2022, the New York-born talent debuted as a solo recording artist with his debut single titled “Love Jones” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, which was his solo debut single as a recording artist. Following this, Leon Thomas stepped out with the ballad “Breaking Point,” which was produced by Don Mills and Coleman and featured in a recent commercial for Beats By Dre that featured Bronny James and LeBron James.

It is the rising star’s turn today (April 7), to share a preview from the upcoming album Electric Dusk. In his new song titled “Crash & Burn,” the musician explores how exhausting the search for love can be, and how exhausting it can be to meet someone special. This song’s instrumental is a co-production between Faxxonly and BNYX, and it serves as a perfect level for Leon Thomas honest lyrics to shine through:
“This is a song that talks about yearning for a meaningful relationship, not finding it, but being content with surface-level and materialistic bonds, and its negative effects on your emotional well-being. Thomas stated in a press release that it is a journey of feeling numb to the probability of finding true love at all during the course of his journey.

This “Victorious” alumnus has been putting pen to paper for big names these last few years, boasting credits as a songwriter for Giveon Give or Take, Ariana Grande Positions, Drake Certified Lover Boy, as well as many others. His most recent work was the production of SZA’s SOS album, specifically the production of the fan-favorite song on the album, the “Snooze” cut.
