New single from Smino, “24-8”

Smino is working on a new album, Luv 4 Rent, which is due out soon. Several previews have been released from the project, including “Rice & Gravy” and “I Deserve” On Sept. 1 he released another track from the project, this time the Phoelix-produced “24-8” track. As part of the song, the St. Louis-born rapper delivers some bars about the importance of taking your time. Among the lines he delivers are:

Among the collaborations Smino has been involved with over the past year, he may be heard on “Louie Bag” featuring Yebba, “So.Incredible.pkg” featuring Denzel Curry and Kenny Beats as well as “Right Track” featuring Syd. Additionally, he contributed to the Judas and the Black Messiah soundtrack with “Plead The .45” during Black History Month in 2021.

Smino’s last project was a mixtape called She Already Decided, which was released in 2020. In the weeks since then, he’s released loose tracks such as “Baguetti” featuring Kenny Beats and JID, and “Backstage Pass” “Tempo,” by The Drums and Monte Booker, and “Dragonball Durag” alongside Guapdad 4000 and Thundercat.
