The “Crossover” video features D Smoke and Westside Boogie

In September, D Smoke released his new album, War & Wonders, which included 16 tracks as well as collaborations with the likes of Tobe Nwigwe, Marsha Ambrosius, WESTSIDE BOOGIE, John Legend, BJ The Chicago Kid, and more. As a result, he has continually maintained his momentum through artful visuals that have been carefully crafted, the most recent being “Crossover.” With Sergio directing, the new video transports viewers back to the year 2018 before he rose to fame. While strolling through their neighborhoods, these two Southern California artists spit their bars before eventually coming together for a house party:

Previously, D Smoke recorded a collaboration with Walk Off the Earth on their latest single, “Bet On Me”. Recently, he completed his first North American tour, the “War & Wonders Tour,” with special guests Tiffany Gouché, recording artist Domani, and violinist Sherie in Texas, Chicago, Atlanta, New York and more, performing across the United States including Chicago, New York, Texas, Atlanta and more.

It follows Black Habits, a critically acclaimed effort from 2020 featuring 16 tracks and contributions from SiR and D Smoke’s other brother Davion Farris as well as Ari Lennox, Jill Scott, Snoop Dogg, and Jackie Gouche. The rapper and producer recently added four new tracks and new assists to his Black Habits album, celebrating its one-year anniversary by enlisting E-40 and Snow to provide a deluxe version.
