“Who said drill is dead?” asks Unknown T in new EP

There’s no need for an unambiguous answer to the question of where the drill scene is in the United Kingdom as Unknown T is here to fill in the gaps. East London star Unknown T unveiled his 2-track EP Who said drill’s dead?, consisting of the ferocious freestyles “JUST LANDED” and “BATTY & BENCH.” Unknown T runs through some of the heaviest bars in the game over production from X10:

As part of the EP, Unknown T premieres a visual, which right away sets the tone by presenting shots of Unknown T in the middle of a discussion with Dushane Hill, the lead character of “Top Boy.” Ashley Walters plays Hill as he attempts to calm Unknown T in the middle of his intense performance in Hackney’s Number One Cafe. After a short while, the scene changes to black and white as Unknown T performs with a microphone raised under the watchful eye of a crew of masked individuals viewing the proceedings from a stairwell. There’s nothing more raw and direct than this video.

Unknown T’s Who Said Drill’s Dead follows his sophomore LP Adolescence, which featured 15 tracks and collaborations with M Huncho, Potter Payper, Nafe Smallz, M1llionz, and Digga D. The album reached the top ten of the UK Albums charts in its first week.
