A little over a year has passed since YBN Nahmir released his debut LP Visionland, a 20-track collection featuring contributions from Offset, G-Eazy, Too $hort, G Herbo, E-40, Fatboy SSE, Ty Dolla $ign, 21 Savage, and DaBoii. As a result, fans have gotten to hear loose drops such as “G28,” “Militant,” “Homicide,” “Dead Wrong,” “Gary Payton,” and “DROP.”
Nahmir dropped a new single called Bows last week, a Hoodrixh-produced track full of bars from his past in the streets:
Gerard Victor directed the video for “Bows” and begins with Nahmir inside a telephone booth and what appears to be a marijuana plant. The Birmingham emcee delivers his bars while showing off his tattoos throughout these locations with the help of some gorgeous women.
YBN’s Nahmir expressed his appreciation for the collective’s successes in a recent Billboard interview:
Taking a break from rapping, I would feel so accomplished with my work. People try to minimize everyone’s success, and pretend that they didn’t accomplish anything or have had any impact on people’s lives. In my opinion, we achieved our goals the right way and in the right manner. The background people did their shit, and we’re still going.” Cordae’s role was good, the background people did theirs, and we’re still going.”
