‘I’m Really Like That’ album from DJ Drama

As a founding member of DJ Drama, he has been part of countless classic records and mixtapes throughout the past two decades. Having worked with artists such as Lil Wayne, T.I., Jeezy, Fabolous, Gucci Mane, and many more. As a pioneer in the game, Mr. Thanksgiving has already made his mark early on and continues to earn his flowers as he proves he has earned them. While some of his fans consider him to be a legend, the Philly native is still active as a young DJ trying to establish his place in the industry despite being considered as an OG by many.

There’s no doubt that Drama has been consistently pumping out Gangsta Grillz projects in recent times, and it’s adding to his polished catalogue of visuals and recorded tracks. There was even a project under Gangsta Grillz that earned him his first Grammy award; Tyler, The Creator’s “Call Me If You Get Lost” is one such project. He has released his highly anticipated album, ‘I’m Really Like That’, to the public today, after a very long wait.

This is Drama’s sixth solo album, and it has been released as a follow up to his 2016 LP, Quality Street Music 2, which contained another high-quality mixtape. Having this album in hand right before the second quarter of 2023 was the perfect time for me to get the vibes right before spring kicked off, so I was able to get the vibes right for spring in the months leading up to it. A tribute to one of the most influential movies in hip hop culture was used by the rapper Barack O’Drama to promote his recent record, Juice, as a way to showcase him as a serious rapper. Queen Latifah appeared in one of the most iconic scenes from the 1992 film in a recreation of her role from the film. The homage was directed by Jim Jones, with Drama playing the role of the character, originally played by Omar Epps in the film. It also included a number of other featured actors, such asDJ Superstar Jay, Juelz Santana, and others.

In light of DJ Drama’s brand new album’s title, it is clear that he feels he needs to remind people of the fact that he is actually like that. With that being said, it might be a fair assumption to say that this album is among his most important ones. As part of the package, I’m Really Like That contains 14 tracks, some of which contain features from The Creator, Tyler, Lil Baby, Jeezy, Lil Wayne, Nipsey Hussle, G Herbo, Gucci Mane, Rick Ross, 42 Dugg, Mozzy and more!
