Cardi B and ROSALÍA collaborate on “DESPECHÁ RMX”

Back in September, ROSALÍA released a deluxe edition of her top-selling studio album, MOTOMAMI. There were 24 songs in the updated version, and additional assistance was provided by Tokischa, The Weeknd, and Chencho Corleone. A highlight of the project was “DESPECHÁ,” a pop song produced in collaboration with Gaby Music, Chris Jedi, Noah Goldstein, and Sir Dylan. “DESPECHÁ” is the story of getting over heartbreak and revenge in a healthy manner, as its title implies.

As expected, Cardi B’s lyrics match the track’s theme without much effort in the remix, which was released today (Dec. 16). It’s certainly not surprising that the Bronx emcee pulled off the theme with hardly any effort in the remix.

It is fair to say that 2022 has passed without the release of a full-length album from Cardi B. However, the year hasn’t been without its fair share of top-tier loose releases and collaborations such as “Hot S**t” by Lil Durk and Kanye West, “Shake It” alongside Dougie B and Kay Flock, “No Love (Extended Version)” featuring SZA and Summer Walker, and “Tomorrow 2” from GloRilla. It’s been a while since the release of her last album, Invasion of Privacy. This album was released in late 2018. It included thirteen all-new tracks as well as contributions from 21 Savage, Migos, Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Chance the Rapper, Kehlani, and YG. A triple platinum certification was earned by Cardi B for the album, which topped the Billboard 200 as well as charting at No. 1 on the Billboard chart.
