Jozzy talks signing to Diddy, her new album, writing for stars like Beyonce and being from Memphis

Love Records artist Jozzy sits down with “REVOLT Black News Weekly” Kennedy Rue to talk about her new album, her unapologetic songwriting style, Diddy signing her, and why she’s stepping out from behind the scenes having written for everyone from Beyonce to Chris Brown to name a few. Jozzy, who is LGBTQI, opens up about her life and love for women, and is authentic as they come. The Memphis-born singer-producer also opens up about why her city is so hot right now when it comes to the vibrant music and hip hop scene, and how the musical history of Memphis inspired her to make her own music.

Inspired by Sean “Diddy” Combs’ successful “State Of Emergency: The State of Black America & Coronavirus” town hall, “REVOLT BLACK NEWS” is a platform that is designed to report news from the perspective of Black people for Black people.

“When I started REVOLT, I always wanted to develop a platform to report the news from our perspective, from our lens, from our people, so I decided to launch ’REVOLT BLACK NEWS,’” said Combs. “We’re here with solutions. We’ve already heard about what we can’t do, but this is what we can do.”
