In the new single titled “Ron Artest,” 42 Dugg teams up with Babyface Ray

Babyface Ray initially released his MOB album back in December of 2022, an 18-track offering that featured features from an array of artists including Doe Boy, Lil Durk, King Hendrick$, GMO Stax, Samuel Shabazz, and more. There were several well-received singles that preceded the project, including “Spend It” and “Nice Guy” featuring Nija and Blxst. It has been a treat for his fans since the release of the album with a number of accompanying clips for tracks such as “Goofies,” “A1 Since Day 1” and “Crazy World.”

In the wake of his official follow-up, the Detroit rapper Babyface Ray returned yesterday with a brand new song titled “Ron Artest.” With help from another fellow Michigan rapper, 42 Dugg, the song pays homage to the charismatic former NBA player in honor of his birthday. A few basketball references are thrown in among the bars the two rappers trade back and forth as they trade off bars:

Before the release of MOB, the “Family > Money” Babyface Ray released a project called FACE, a project that included contributions from artists such as 42 Dugg, Wiz Khalifa, Pusha T, Landstrip Chip, and others. Weeks later, he released the official deluxe version, adding eight brand-new tracks and features from Baroline, Lil Yachty, Veeze, DJ Esco, and Lucki. He was ranked No. 31 on the Billboard 200 and landed on the XXL Freshman list in addition to making the XXL Freshman list.

In addition to his most recent solo project, 42 Dugg has also contributed to a number of projects and collaborations. These include EST Gee, Roddy Ricch, Lil Durk, Rylo Rodriguez, Future, Fivio Foreign, and Rowdy Rebel. It’s been months since his first release, but now he’s blessed fans with a deluxe version that comes with new features, such as Nardo Wick, Moneybagg Yo, and more.
