The visual for “WAIT FOR U” by Future and Drake gets medieval

It was just last week when Future released his ninth studio album, I NEVER LIKED YOU, which featured 16 tracks along with additional features from Gunna, Kodak Black, Kanye West, EST Gee, Young Thug, and more. The album received a deluxe upgrade mere days later, which included six additional tracks combined with collaborations from 42 Dugg, Babyface Ray, Lil Durk, and Young Scooter.

ATL frontrunner, I NEVER LIKED YOU FOREVER, brings a new video to the web for “WAIT FOR U,” a track he produced with ATL Jacob and FNZ with Drake. The song, which utilizes a sample from Tems’ “Higher,” sees the two star-studded pair harmonizing about unhealthy relationships:

According to Director X, the matching visual is perhaps inspired by films and TV shows set during the Middle Ages (think “Game of Thrones”). Aside from its rather unique title, which can only be described as “the tale of the toxic king”, the clip shows Future ruling over the land while having fun, going to battle, and (possibly) overlooking the well-being of his wife–the latter of which is revealed through a scroll and brewing affairs. Eventually, both he and Drake successfully dispatch the competition and Drake also delivers some news to his other half that’s sure to make everyone chuckle.
